MOST HIGH

"Please all the school presidents who didn't present here with their complete Excos, just stand out here and tell us why they're not here" he said 

It was my National president speaking. We had gone for our first Central Executive Committee meeting fondly called 1st CEC meeting. The meeting was held in Benin and I was so happy to have embarked on this voyage. 

The last few months has been a little hectic with meetings happening almost every week. Everything was happening so fast and this Sandra was bothered about a few things. Howbeit, we move!

As I looked up at the podium seeing how the school presidents from various chapters were lined to answer to why they weren't complete, I couldn't help but think of how shameful it would have been for me standing out before the audience to give this or that as an excuse for some of my Excos who couldn't make it to the meeting, I smiled and blessed God that I wasn't a school president. I no get that kain grace abeg

"All these excuses you gave especially about your ex-officio who couldn't make it are beautiful..." Dr Dominion said 

'Ex-officio' is the office of the immediate past school president. I felt for the school presidents who couldn't compel their ex-officios to come along with them. How do you pressure the one who had this mantle before you? How do you compel someone who is an "elder " before you became? What's the much you can do if they say they can't come?

My numerous thoughts were interrupted by the voice of Dr. Dominion, the Immediate past National president

I surfaced back to reality from where I left off with my thoughts

"I know you're thinking you couldn't do much to compel your ex-officio to be here but you see, according to the bye-law, the ex-officio is RESPONSIBLE TO THE SCHOOL PRESIDENT. I know you don't know what that means. It means that because you're now the president, every other executive, both new and old is responsible to obey you..." He said 

Just then, I heard the word,"MOST HIGH" in my spirit. I know my mind works in a very funny way so I tried to reconcile what  I heard with the situation we were having. 

Then the Lord asked me," Sandra what comes to mind when you call me Most high?"

It felt too simple to be answered. I would almost spill what came to my mind immediately but then I remembered that when the Lord asks you a question, He doesn't need your answer to inform Him. I kept quiet for some time and then said,"You're Most high because you're the topmost. You're at the third heavens"

"So..." I heard again 

What else does He want me to say? What should I say? Why exactly is this coming now?

"So we all should worship you..." I managed to mutter under my breath

"You're not wrong but you're not seeing what I'm showing you just yet" He said 

Just then, my eyes fell through my diary and I saw a list of things I'd scribbled a few days ago. They were a list of the things that were not going too well in my life. They really bothered me and I'd taken to just outline all those fears  to God- my finances were down, my health wasn't in the best state and I was in serious academic danger.

"When you declare Me Lord and Most high in your life, it means that EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE IS RESPONSIBLE TO ME. These fears could have occupied a legitimate position in your heart but by the reason of my Lordship, they're now directly responsible to me. Why cry over these things? Why worry so much about them? By the reason of my Lordship, I can compel them to bow. I am Most High

That was so much of a lesson for a season. In the last one week, I've spent my entire prayer time declaring Him Most High. At the thought of whatever looks like a mountain in my life, I declare Him Most High.

He is not only high up there just to be worshipped 

He is high because He can compel compliance from everything I acknowledge to be below Him

Dear, Lord Jesus, may I never find anything higher than You 

Become Most High to me forever 

Because I know,"whatever is most high will compel compliance from everything else"
